Frequently asked questions
What happens if I break the aspect ratio?
The image stretches to fill the exact dimensions you gave. Circles become ovals. Keep the lock on unless distortion is intended; the toggle state is always visible.
Can I set just one dimension?
Yes. With the lock on, enter width and height auto-calculates (or vice versa). That is the safest workflow: proportions can never go wrong.
Why does a 1920×1080 crop not just resize?
Resizing changes scale only. If you need both exact dimensions AND the original proportions, the image must be cropped. Resize to fit one dimension, then crop the overflow. This tool resizes; cropping is a separate operation we are upfront about.
