Privacy policy
Last updated: September 7, 2026
This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your data when you use ImgToolZone. The short version: your images are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us.
Your images
- Processing happens in your browser. When you use a tool, your image is loaded into your browser's memory and processed there, by your device, using code downloaded to your browser. The image file is not transmitted to our servers or any third-party server.
- We do not store your images. We have no image storage, no image database, and no mechanism that could keep a copy. When you close or reload the page, the processed data is gone.
- Downloaded files go directly from your browser to your disk. Downloads are generated locally and never pass through our servers.
One technical detail for completeness: the background remover downloads a small AI model file from a third-party CDN (content delivery network) the first time you use it, the same as any website downloading an image or script. That download contains no data about you and no part of your image. Your browser caches it for faster reuse.
What we do collect
We record anonymous, aggregated usage events so we can keep the tools working and improve them:
- Which tool was used (e.g. "background remover")
- Whether processing succeeded or failed
- Coarse processing time and image dimensions
- Output format chosen (e.g. PNG vs JPG)
These events contain no image data, no file names, and no personal identifiers. We do not use cookies or fingerprinting to track you across visits, and we cannot identify you from these events.
What we do not collect
- Your images: never uploaded, never stored
- Any account data. There are no accounts, no signups, no logins for tool users
- Personal identifiers: no names, emails, or device ids with analytics events
Contact form
If you contact us through the contact form, we receive the message, your stated contact details, and metadata needed to handle your request. We use it only to respond to you and to keep records of communication, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
Server logs
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider records standard technical request logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are retained for a short period by our hosting provider and are not used to profile you.
Cookies and advertising
The tools themselves work without cookies. If we enable advertising in the future (currently disabled), ads may be served by third parties such as Google AdSense, who may use cookies subject to their own policies. If that happens, we will show a cookie notice and update this policy and our cookie policy before any ads appear.
Children
Our tools are not directed at children, and since we collect no personal data, no such data about children is collected.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data from tool usage, there is generally nothing to access, export, or delete. For contact-form correspondence, you can ask us to delete it at any time via the contact page.
Changes to this policy
If we change what data we process, we will update this page and the "last updated" date. We will not retroactively apply new practices without notice here.
