Privacy policy

This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your data when you use ImgToolZone. The short version: your images are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us.

Your images

• Processing happens in your browser. When you use a tool, your image is loaded into your browser's memory and processed there, by your device, using code downloaded to your browser. The image file is not transmitted to our servers or any third-party server.
• We do not store your images. We have no image storage, no image database, and no mechanism that could keep a copy. When you close or reload the page, the processed data is gone.
• Downloaded files go directly from your browser to your disk. Downloads are generated locally and never pass through our servers.

The background remover downloads AI model files from a third-party CDN (content delivery network). Your image bytes are not part of that request. Like other network requests, the download exposes ordinary request metadata to the CDN, such as your IP address and browser information. Your browser may cache the model files for faster reuse.

First-party tool analytics

Our event-only analytics continue independently of Google Analytics. We store individual tool events on our server and aggregate them for usage reports:

• Tool ID and event type, such as a start, download, completion or failure
• A timestamp for the recorded event
• Small scalar details when provided, such as image dimensions, output format, processing time, batch count, operation count or a fixed failure-stage/reason code
• A random ID for each event to avoid counting a repeat delivery twice, and a tracking-version number. The event ID identifies that event only—not a visitor, device or visit.

These events contain no image data, no file names and no visitor IDs. This first-party analytics system does not use cookies or fingerprinting to link visits. Requests still reach our server; technical metadata used for security and abuse prevention is separate from the stored tool-event records.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) runs only if you accept analytics in our cookie banner. Until you accept, no Google Analytics script is loaded and no Google Analytics cookies are set. If you accept, GA4 sets its own cookies (_ga and_ga_*) to measure site usage, and we send Google a consent signal that permits analytics storage only and denies every advertising use. You can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer; declining afterwards stops collection and clears those cookies. Previously set Google Analytics cookies may remain in your browser; declining does not automatically delete every one of them, and you can remove them through your browser's site-data settings.

What we do not collect

• Your images: never uploaded, never stored
• Any account data. There are no accounts, no signups, no logins for tool users
• Personal identifiers: no names, emails, or device ids with analytics events

Contact form

If you contact us through the contact form, we receive the message, your stated contact details, and metadata needed to handle your request. We use it only to respond to you and to keep records of communication, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

Server logs

Like virtually every website, our hosting provider records standard technical request logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are retained for a short period by our hosting provider and are not used to profile you.

Local storage and admin sessions

The browser caches site assets and AI model files. The background remover also uses a sessionStorage crash flag for essential recovery guidance after an interrupted process; it contains no image data and is not a cross-visit identifier. Administrator sign-in uses the pk_admin session cookie, separate from tool analytics. Your analytics choice is stored in a first-party itz_consent cookie for 180 days; it records only "accepted" or "declined" and its expiry date, and holds no visitor ID. Cookies and advertising

The tools themselves work without tracking cookies: decline analytics and every tool still works in full. If we enable advertising in the future (currently disabled), ads may be served by third parties such as Google AdSense, who may use cookies subject to their own policies. Accepting analytics is not consent to advertising — we deny Google's advertising signals, so ads would need their own, separate permission. If that happens, we will update this policy and our cookie policy before any ads appear.

Children

Our tools are not directed at children. Contact submissions and technical request logs are handled as described above; please avoid sending unnecessary personal information.

Your rights

Tool-event records do not have a visitor ID that we can use to look up your activity. For questions about your data or a request to delete contact-form correspondence, use the contact page.

Changes to this policy

If we change what data we process, we will update this page and the "last updated" date. We will not retroactively apply new practices without notice here.
