Image Resizer

Your images are processed locally in your browser and never uploaded to any server.

Resize any image by exact pixels or percentage, with the aspect ratio locked so nothing stretches. High-quality resampling runs locally in your browser: no upload, no watermark, no limit on how many images you resize.

How to use the image resizer

  1. Add one or more images (drag-and-drop or click to browse).
  2. Enter width and/or height. The other dimension follows automatically when the lock is on.
  3. Or switch to percentage mode and scale the whole image proportionally.
  4. Download the resized image, or grab a ZIP of the whole batch.

Frequently asked questions

What size should I resize to?

Match the display size: full-width website photos rarely need more than 1920px; product images 800–1200px; thumbnails 200–400px. Resizing an 8000px phone photo down to what is actually displayed is the single biggest file-size win available.

Does resizing reduce file size?

Almost always, dramatically. Pixel count is the main driver of file size. A 4000×3000 photo at 2000×1500 is roughly a quarter of the bytes even before compression. Combine with the image compressor for maximum savings.

Can I make an image larger?

You can, but upscaling beyond about 2× looks soft, because no new detail exists. The tool interpolates between existing pixels. Upscaling modestly (to fit a layout, say) is fine; expecting a small image to gain detail is not.

Will my image get stretched?

Not with the aspect lock on (the default): width and height stay proportional. Unlock it only when you deliberately want to change the shape. The interface makes both states obvious.
