Frequently asked questions
How do I keep the corners transparent?
Choose PNG or WebP output (the default). The corners are cut with a true alpha channel, so whatever sits behind the image shows through on websites, slides and designs. JPG cannot store transparency, so its corners are filled with white.
What radius should I use?
For a subtle modern look, 16–32px on typical web images. For a soft card feel, 48–64px. The maximum useful radius is half the shorter side: at that point the image becomes an ellipse, and the tool clamps there automatically.
Does rounding corners work on every image?
Yes: JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF (first frame), BMP, TIFF and HEIC all decode in the browser. The result always comes out as PNG, WebP or JPG, which also makes the rounded file more compatible than the original.
